London Firemen’s Club Receives CVNB Donation for Children in Need
On Tuesday, Oct. 19th Cumberland Valley National Bank donated $500 to the London Firemen’s Club for their annual toy and coat drive that helps provide for children in need in Laurel County. The London Firemen’s Club is accepting donations for their annual drive through www.londonkyfire.com/donate.
The non-profit coordinates with the Family Resource Youth Service Centers within Laurel County’s schools to receive names of children to buy gifts for. London Firefighters shop for each child and provide their gifts along with a visit from Santa Claus at the London Fire Department in December for the “Very Merry Firefighter Christmas” event.
The London Firemen’s Club’s goal this year is to raise $10,000 to make Christmas extra special for those who may not have a new toy or coat this winter. Donations are accepted year-round through their website at www.londonkyfire.com.
