London Fire Department hires new part-time Firefighter

LONDON KY—The London Fire Department has added a part-time Firefighter to their staff.

Ed Lemley has been a London Fire Department volunteer for a year and has volunteered at other emergency service departments including a year at the London-Laurel Rescue Squad, approximately three years at Lily Fire Department and has been the Deputy CSEPP/EM Director of Laurel Co. since April 2018. Lemley has received over 150 firefighter training hours and is currently completing his final semester of achieving a Bachelor’s of Science at Eastern Kentucky University in fire arson explosives investigation.

“I like helping people in my community. It might be their worst day, but I’d like to do all that I can to help them overcome that,” Lemley said about why he chose to be a Firefighter.
